Creative Writing

Through this core elective course, students learn to write stories, plays, and movies. Students will be immersed into the world of great stories and will explore the process of writing fictional works. They will engage in thinking through the process of writing a genre of work for adolescents with the goal of constructing works that explore a variety of topics related to current issues. In the process, students will learn about chapter development, elements of design, and other concepts related to the process of publication. The course will culminate in students a thirst to compose a piece of literature in a genre of their choice.
